On the 29th March 2012, Ilford was proud to host a visit by the Queen to Valentines Park and Mansion as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
And LK Lily was even prouder to be have been asked to both decorate the Mansion and to design the posy that Gants Hill schoolgirl Imani Ahmed would present to the monarch.
Lindsay was interveiwed by Amanda Nunn of the Ilford Recorder throughout the day: “It was my life’s ambition to make flowers for the Queen.”

The posy was created from English cream sweet peas, white freesia from Guernsey with a hidden petticoat of lily of the valley, and touches of pittosporum from Lindsay’s garden.
